About InKind, Inc.
InKind, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501(c)3, non-profit organization in the state of Texas and is dedicated to assisting families in need. InKind has been assisting families in the Austin Community and surrounding area since 1997.
How We Can Help
Title 1 School Support
Our board and volunteers support Title 1 schools in the Austin Area by providing teacher resources, student scholarships, and coordinating special projects.
Baby Blessing Gift Bags
We partner with area hospitals and non-profits to support new parents with baby essentials and clothing. This effort receives widespread community support through donors, partnerships, sewing groups and more.
Community Garden Project
Through InKind, Inc., refugees are provided with social and educational support, resources for transportation and food, furniture and essential needs coordination, and legal referrals.
Holiday and Special Event Projects
We coordinate special projects such as Natural Disaster Relief Efforts, Mother's Day Gift Mobile, Christmas Angel Trees, and college student support gift boxes.
We have a wish list for items needed year-round; if you or your service group can help, please contact us below!

"Your Baby Baskets are exquisite and a perfect gift for the vulnerable families of Austin who have young babies. Last week was the first time I saw one of your baskets, when we picked one up at St. Louis Church, to bring with us on a St. Vincent DePaul home visit.
The single, 21-year-old father of a 1 month old and an 18 month old, was overwhelmed. The mother of his children is suffering from depression and has, so far, chosen not to see her children while she stays with her mother.
I was so pleased to present him with your basket and see that the items will be appropriate for both of his young daughters. It was clear that the items and the basket were made with love and care. It really brought a boost of joy to the father."
Volunteer Opportunities
We are blessed with some wonderful volunteers who bring a variety of skillsets such as sewing, knitting, gift basket making, purchasing, and more.
Would you like to use your skill set to support Austin families through InKind? We’d love you to join our volunteer team.
